Las Vegas Marathon
This past Sunday, Pawtastic Friends had the opportunity to volunteer for the Rock N Roll Marathon handing out water to the runners. It was such a great experience, very heart warming. We had our team working together getting water station 13 ready at the 18 mile mark. We worked together to fill hundreds of cups for the runners, laughing and having fun. I think as that first runner came by we were all overcome by emotion, then another and another. People from all walks of life coming together to complete this race. We not only hydrated them but we quickly became their cheerleaders, offering words of encouragement. Many offered kind words back.. unexpected thank you's. As we reflect back on this inspiring evening, our hearts are filled with overflowing gratitude for volunteers that gave up their Sunday to share their time with us, and runners that showed much dedication and commitment. So, thank you for allowing us to be part of this wonderful event & for inspiring us to go for the gold.
