Congregation Ner Tamid

A beautiful Sunday surrounded by our wonder friends of Congregation Ner Tamid. It was "Mitzvah Day", a day where the congregation came together to work on community projects to help various charities. When Pawtastic Friends team member Stacey invited us to participate, we were very excited, as we always love to share our mission. We decided our project would include making doggy rope toys and creating "words of encouragement hearts" to read to the pups in boarding. I have to admit the heartfelt messages from the kids made me tear up. We reached out for some toy making guidance and Mrs.McDonald (on vacation from Michigan) jumped right in picking up the fabrics and cutting them. Next, she, Shannon, Scott, and a couple friends prepped the fabric so it was ready to go. Maria picked it up and dropped it off. A big thank you to all. Vegas Pet Rescue Project brought a few of their adoptable pups out and the day was picture perfect. We met so many incredible, kind people and felt so welcomed. I left with so much more then the the stuff I brought. I left with my faith in humanity being restored. I left with a full heart, and I left with a new perspective as seen through the eyes of a child. Sunday we became part of a new community family and we are so grateful. It takes a village, please help when you can..... it makes all the difference
