In the rescue world, we meet so many wonderful pups. So many stories of survival, of hope, of perseverance that fill our hearts and remind us why we do what we do. Button is one of those amazing stories. She was one of scholars, who was terrified of people and experiences. She would hide under the table or in the corner with uncertainty. Wagging Tails Rescue gave Button a second chance and it only got better. Button began her journey to her happily ever after. She started in the enrichment training program and that first day was heart breaking.  The fear Button had was unimaginable, it made us wonder all she had been through,  and chipped away at our faith in humanity.  With each class Button thrived, building trust and confidence. Her personality emerged and she built a team of support. By sharing updates and videos her daddy Robert found her and soon she was learning her worth and place in the world.  Little by little she continued to flourish. The other day we got an update that brought us to tears.... happy tears. The pup that once hid under a table has just completed her service dog training. She is confident and her spirit radiates. As I write this, I still can't believe an idea to make a difference has turned into something so much bigger. It's stories like Button that make me so proud of Pawtastic Friends and all of you that work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of so many.
