When Pawtastic Friends started in 2016, it started because a group of volunteers wanted to do more to help our furry friends. As we look back, we still can't believe what Pawtastic Friends has become to so many pups, to our wonderful rescue partners, to the most amazing volunteers, and to the community. We have always wanted to do our best to give all of our scholars every opportunity possible to succeed. That being said, we are so excited to share The Pawtastic Friends K9 Ambassador Program with you. We have been working on this program for quite some time and are beyond excited to bring it to life with Michael's Angel Paws. This program will allow current scholars of the Pawtastic Friends Enrichment Training Scholarship Program that train and swim weekly, to also participate in the new K9 Ambassador program and to become accredited Canine Good Citizens and for some an opportunity to even become therapy dogs. When we look at these dogs, like most of us, we see possibility and hope for each one of them a life full of opportunities. Rescue dogs are not broken. They just need a chance to shine and the opportunity to succeed. We are hopeful this additional program will give them the platform to shine even more.
